Can you introduce everyone in the band and what instrument do they play?

Mollee Allen- Piano and Vocals

Sara Pasha- Bass Guitar

Thomas Allen- Guitar

How did you guys decide on a band name?

We were jamming covers for fun together at the Tipton Good Maker’s Market without a band name, then later that night got asked to play another show at Bier Stube when an opening band dropped. After those gigs, we had been asked to play Emo Night in the Quad Cities and decided it was time to come up with a band name. We sat in a bar for hours with a list of names and decided to name ourselves after one of our favorite band's songs. If and when we started writing original music, we knew it would be nostalgic for early 2000’s post-hardcore. Thomas actually proposed to Mollee onstage at one of The Used's concerts so the name seemed to be perfect for us. Naturally, we covered The Used at Emo Night as an homage to the start of our band and it took off from there.

Who is your musical influence?

It’s a wide range between us. The Used is a huge one, of course. For Mollee: Evanescence, Dropping Daylight and Chiodos were influences for the most recent EP of ours in terms of incorporating a piano into harder rock music. Thomas loves learning riffs and would attribute Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, blink-182, and Jimmy Eat World into his metal meets emo inspirations. The list goes on and on: Pierce The Veil, Deftones, System of a Down, Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Knocked Loose, Botch, Slayer, we pull influences from all directions of metal we listen to.

What song is your favorite to perform?

We haven’t performed our new music live yet… but we have a cover song out of Vanessa Carlton's “A Thousand Miles” and it’s a crowd pleaser. It is so much fun to hear everyone sing along and enjoy the classic tune that we put our own Pop-Goes-Punk twist on.

If you could play any venue in the world, where would it be and who would you bring along as your openers?

Any venue in the world?! Wow, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre near Denver is the first that comes to mind. The landscape is absolutely stunning, the venue itself renowned and would be an incredible experience. Who would we bring along as the openers? Tough question. We think of ourselves as an opener band with dues to pay along the right of passage. We’d want to bring along Common Choir because we admire that band and have collaborations with their vocalist Zach Fulton. Can we dream big? Because we’d want to open for Underoath, Evanescence, Emery, The Used, or any early 2000’s band that we grew up listening to.

What song is on repeat at the moment?

Mollee: I've recently gotten into Cinematic Sunrise and the song Pulling a Piano From a Pond really gets me stoked. It is such a fun song to sing along to in the car.

Thomas: “Above Me” by Rufio, I’ve been trying to learn this riff recently and fell in love with the “Perhaps, I suppose…” album all over again.

What is the best piece of advice someone gave to you about your band?

Don't be afraid to go against the grain and do something different.

We reach for dramatics in our music, especially in the videos. There are themes of mental illness, blood, some gore, and elements of magical fantasy. We use character narrative in our music to create a universe but the subject matter may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Where can we find you guys at?
