How did you first get into music?

Hey I'm Ed Reyes and I am the founder and former member of Taking Back Sunday. So here's my story. I got in to music when I was 12. Started going to metal/punk rock hardcore shows around 14.

I was at a record store called uncle Phil's and came across a tape in a $5 bin call Dag Nasty "can I say". My first hardcore record to change my life.

What artists influenced you when you started music?

I would say my biggest influences we're bands like agnostic front, Dag Nasty , smashing pumpkins but the first Quicksand album "slip" opened my brain to trying new things when I wrote songs. And then Sunday real estate and mineral opened my eyes to the heavier shoegaze emo vibe.

What kind of gear do you like in your set up?

When it came to my gear I'm a gear snob but at the same time loved my Frankenstein guitars. Mash up gear but as far as guitar amps I really love Carvins, Orange, Sovtek and Randall's

Out of all of the places you’ve played, where would you like to go back to?

Miss playing shows in Australia and Germany it's been a while. Definitely loved playing the Philippines a lot.

Which Star Wars film is your favorite?

Favorite star wars movies are a tie between Empire Strikes Back and Force Awakens, but if we want to nerd out I love Kylo Ren and Vader but I'm an old republic guy so Darth Revan and Darth Malgus. I collect expensive rare figures!

We saw that you love the paranormal, do you have any experiences that you can share with us?

Yes am a true believer in the Paranormal . I've had many experiences since I was a kid I lived in a 200 year old house that when I sold I had to sign a waiver saying that it was haunted. So yeah I always believe that there is another side it's very intriguing and it's exciting too. I'm a very dark person so you know I believe in the light in the dark and I believe that there's always other levels of reality.

What are your three favorite hardcore songs at the moment?

So many songs can't name one. Lately new Quicksand and loathe. Been loving the new soul blind and deaf heaven jams

Where can we find you?

Taking my time no rush but I did start a new project called DEAD HANDS and will have some music out soon. Slow heavy and full of all kinds of mosh. So keep an eye out for it.
