In League With Rockets: A Sit Down With Musty Flick

Can you introduce everyone in the band and what instruments do they play? Seth Alan Jacobs - Vocals, Guitars Brock Dowell - Drums Micaiah - Bass, Backing Vocals What made each of you want to become a musician? Seth: I've always been a music guy. I got the opportunity to learn the guitar at a young age and I've loved it ever since. Brock: I took Band in high school for credits so I didn't have to take choir. The percussion was always my preference. Micaiah: I wanted to learn to make something that I would be proud of. How did you guys come up with your band name? It's from a video game.

Who inspired you to get into music?

Seth: At a very young age I liked a little of everything. My parents told me Santana was my first love as a baby so, I guess Santana?

Brock: Slim Shady

Micaiah: Pete Wentz

What are each of your favorite songs that you’ve released and why?

Seth: Well at the time of writing this, our debut album is out in less than a week and we've only released 2 songs publicly so far on our Bandcamp. But off our upcoming album, I'd probably have to go with Nil. It was a very personal song for me to write and really stands out amongst the rest of the album.

Brock: Don't Let This End Your Life. Instrumentally, it's the best song.

Micaiah: Nil. I think it has the best lyrics.

What is the best piece of advice someone has given you about the music scene?

Seth: Words stick with fans. Don't force anything on anyone, just give them what they support you for to the best of your ability.

Brock: Be yourself.

Micaiah: Don't sell out unless it's worth it.

Say you are on the road to a show what 3 songs do you want to be playing in your car?

Seth: Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams

Brock: Spotlight by Logic

Micaiah: Hold Me Like a Grudge by Fall Out Boy
