In The Elevator Going Up: A Sit Down With Th3 LTLT

How long have you been creating music?

I have been creating music since 2017. I started on a computer with a gaming headset.

What, in your words, is your style of music that you create?

It's really hard to put a label on my style because I do all kinds of music. But if I had to give it a label, I'd probably say alternative hip hop.

Do you remember the first song you ever created and do you remember what it was about?

Yes I do. The first song I ever made was a song called "Lil Turq". It was called that because that was my rap name at the time and what the song was about. I was a mumble rapper back then. I've definitely come a long way from there.

If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Right now, the Capitol Theater in Burlington again. I feel I need to perfect my performance on a smaller stage before I move onto a larger one. I also love that venue. It has a very classic feel, and the people in charge are very kind.

Who is on your dream headlining tour?

If I were headlining a tour, I would love my openers to be: Tyler, the Creator, Ski Mask the Slump God, Future, Lil Durk, and Don Toliver. I would also have a Southeast Iowa showcase to show off a lot of our talented local artists. Finally, I would also have a band open. That band is System of a Down, my favorite band. A lot of openers, I know, but it would be worth it.

What is a motto that you live by?

The motto I live by is my artist name, Th3 LTLT. I live by what the name stands for.

"True Heart 365 Live Through Live True"

This means that no matter what I go through in life, I'm going to, at the very least try to, be true to who I am 365 days a year.

Say you’re chillin’ at home and you turn on Spotify what are your three top played songs?

I listen to a wide variety of music. But, if I were going on there specifically to listen to my 3 favorite songs, it would probably be: "Chop Suey," by System of a Down, "White Iverson," by Post Malone, and "Between the Bars," by Elliott Smith. Please look any of these three songs up if you've never heard them.

Where can we find you at?

You can also find me on all platforms under my artist name.

Soundcloud is where the majority of my songs are.
