The Ghost With the Most: A Sit Down With Jesseka Taylor (DJ Gengar)

Can you tell us a bit about what creative endeavors that you do?

I am an OnlyFans content creator, as well as a DJ, & Twitch Streamer!

When did you get your start in content creating?

Initially when I was 19. However I picked it back up at 27 after I got out of an awfully abusive relationship that restricted me from living my full potential. My type of work in the long run has been a real pick me up and a real confidence booster.

What's the hardest and easiest thing you didn’t know you’d have to do while creating content?

Honestly, I guess with most jobs it does start to get boring. So I guess the hardest thing is keeping at it, finding that key motivation to keep going. Not only that but you’re constantly taking new photos, always looking for new outfits, always promoting, and always keeping people interested. There’s not a day where I don’t do something work related. Essentially if I don’t work, I don’t make money. I’m my own boss though which is nice. The easiest thing would probably have to be the editing and lighting set up. Once I am done with pictures and go straight to editing it’s kind of like my chill time where I get to relax and just be in the moment.

Can you talk about your marketing strategies when it comes to content creation?

Typically I market myself on various platforms. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Fetlife, Snapchat, & Dating Apps. I promote on all these apps with discreetness of course.

When I say discreetness I mean you have to be creative with how you promote because you risk being permabanned or having your account flagged.

How did you learn how to DJ and when did you start that?

I started dabbling in it when I was 16. That’s when I got into Rave Culture. It was honestly like a safe haven for me since I decided to come out as Trans in the very deep southern part of Tennessee. A few years ago my DJ/Rave mentor (Papa Bear) sat me down and showed me how to beat match. We started with House and worked our way up to Hardcore which is my preferred genre of choice.

What is your favorite style of music to perform and create?

I love Hardcore, Up-tempo, & Frenchcore. Anything 200+ BPM to get the heart racing, massively hard hitting, and something you can really dance to.

Can you walk us through a normal day of being a DJ and a content creator?

So basically on Monday’s I will do 2 main shoots for the week. I will upload the first day’s on Monday & Tuesday then on Wednesday I will have an easy picture day. On Thursday I will upload the second shoot from Monday and upload the second part of the second shoot on Friday! With all this time I usually focus on my other expression outlets like DJing, streaming some gameplay, working on my podcast I am getting ready to release, or just spending time with my puppy and kitty.

As for my DJing I put out a new set about every 2 months. I pull all of my tracks from BandCamp, Beatport, or anywhere I can find them really.

I try to create 1 hour sets and practice as much as I can!

When you’re doing a photoshoot what are three songs on your playlist for background music?

Hmm. This is a good question. I actually have a playlist dedicated to my genre of music but I always go back to the same tracks just to put me in a better mood and to motivate me.

I’d have to say my top three would be:

"Irridate" - Paparazzi

"Miss Enemy" - The Real Gangsta

"USAO" - Knight Rider (which is actually a Japanese Hardcore artist/track.)
