When would you say you first got into writing music?

I actually began writing poems and thinking I was some smooth boy when I was in middle school! Lol! I began writing music when I was a sophomore in high school, 2005!

Do you remember the first song you wrote, and do you remember what it was about? Yes, I do. It was a remix to “Lean Wit It” by Dem Franchise Boyz and it was absolutely horrendous! Haha. But hey..it’s all stepping stones that led me to my current spot in life!

Describe your creative process for writing songs?

My creative process is as follows:

-Walk into my studio

-Find a beat that speaks to my soul

-Write the chorus

-Write the verses

-Email it to my sound engineer, Aaron.

-He mixes & masters & sends back

-& BOOM!

Who inspires you to make music?

My biggest inspiration is the feeling I get hearing responses to songs & responses to performing music. Knowing that people can relate on a deep level with my music is everything to me.

What is your favorite part about making music?

The shows, the people I get meet & the places I have been blessed with being able to see. Every good part of my life, aside from my family, has came from Music.

What’s the best advice that you were ever given?

That if I wanted to be a musician for real then I needed to do it every single day!

When you’re creating a new playlist for your store what 3 songs do you make sure to have on it?

My go to is Post Malone so anything from him. I also have always been a Jelly Roll fan so anything from him & then also 90s rock. It’s too hard to narrow into specific songs because my music preferences are solely based on my mood!

Where can we find you at?

You can find me on every single platform. Google Random Tanner. Search me on Spotify, Apple Music & all the others. My favorite platform is YouTube because you can see my music videos. Also randomtanner.com, TikTok, IG, Snapchat & all that jazz too!
